My New BOA "Doggie" Shorts Honor My Running Club's Boston Terrier Mascot (Dr. Watson)

I took my Boston Terrier, Dr. Watson, on a "trial run" in his three-wheeled cart this past weekend, along with at least a dozen of my Somerville, NJ running-club members. They not only bonded with him before, during, and after the run, but also shared stories of their own pet experiences, reminded by the wonderful "doggies" captured on my new BOA running shorts.

Disappointed with the fit

I’m quite disappointed with these Men’s Printed 3" Half Split Shorts – Bestie Blue from BOA. After owning too many running shorts to count, these are among the worst I’ve tried for actual use.

I had to stop mid-run to change out of them -- the liner offers almost zero support. You can’t “freeball” in these unless you’re okay with constant readjusting, and you’d need compression shorts underneath just to make them wearable.

I even gifted a pair to a friend for his birthday, and he was just as disappointed. **Maybe they work for others, but not for either of us.**

You can’t know how something fits until you run in it, yet BOA’s policy says no returns once used... which feels unfair. After I reached out, they offered a discount to buy something else. That’s not how you handle a product that clearly missed the mark (buy more to compensate for dissatisfaction).

Bottom line: lack of support, inconsistent fit, and poor customer service. A regrettable purchase... and an even more regrettable gift.
