Very lightweight, fun shorts! I wore them for a roller Derby game, not running, with leggings underneath. Size chart was accurate. I normally wear a Medium in athletic bottoms, but per the size chart was an XL in BOA. The waist was as tight as I wanted it - could not wear a smaller size there. There was plenty of extra room in the hips and thighs, so they looked a little big. I wish they had a bit of a higher rise - maybe another 1/2-1"? But overall very lightweight and fun!
I actually cannot honestly say I've gone on a naked trail run as various reasons have deterred me, but if I had, I guarantee it would not match the awesomeness that occurred my first time donning these. I had to do a quick celebratory dance as soon as I put the jorts on for the first time because the sadness factor was supreme. Technically, they were so light and airy and provided movement in all the right ways while traversing the mountains. After one run I immediately needed more so I went online and ordered two more of the exact same thing. The only negative I have to say is that you'll want to wear them so much that people will wonder if you ever wash your clothes. These rock!
If you like the idea of running in jorts but hate chaffing these are the shorts for you. These make me at least 20% cooler every-time I wear them.
I own a pairs and couldn’t help but to buy a pair for the wife. Best shorts around.
